Academics

Our academics program is rigorous and challenging. We follow the curriculum set forth by the Diocese of Raleigh Catholic Schools Office, which incorporates both the National Common Core Standards and the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. SJPII class sizes are small, currently averaging around 15 students, which enables us to know each child very well and, subsequently, provide a quality learning experience tailored to each child’s needs. Our students participate in the Iowa Test of Basic Skills each fall, and class composite scores indicate that our students score above the national average in all subject areas. Specials classes include music, art, Spanish, physical education, and health. In addition, our middle school students may take up to two high school-level mathematics courses.
