Preparing Hearts and Minds
Saint John Paul II is a private Catholic school serving preschool through eighth grade students. We are a parish school affiliated with St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Southern Pines, serving the children of Moore County, Lee County, Hoke County, and Ft. Bragg areas. Our beautiful campus is centrally located between Southern Pines and Pinehurst, North Carolina.
We provide our students the opportunity to grow and develop in the knowledge and love of a Triune God. Saint John Paul II Catholic School affords students the best opportunity to realize the threefold purpose of Christian education: mission, community, and service.
A Message from Our Principal
Summer is here! What a trimester we have had. It is wonderful to see our community, society, and economy beginning to open again and to start the rebound. In light of what we have endured together in the past weeks, gratitude is the most evident response to all this news - gratitude to God for his continued blessings; gratitude to our families for their loyalty, support, and incredible efforts to adapt and succeed under unprecedented circumstances; and gratitude for our teachers and staff for their dedication.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We have learned beyond a shadow of a doubt how much our lives intertwine and how dependent we are on one another. Hopefully, this summer will provide a well-deserved break and an opportunity to reflect on the significance of these events and how best to proceed.
We are looking forward and preparing for the start of the 2020–21 academic year on August 19. Know that we plan to be ready for whatever is to come, and we thank you for all your input along the way. We are able to use the feedback to serve you better and continue to build value into the education we provide. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and constant support.
Next year’s enrollment is looking very good at this point, and we are fortunate once again to be able to consistently fill slots which become available with incoming students. God always provides what we need. We welcome all our new families and bid farewell to our departing families. You will be in our thoughts and prayers and remember, “Once an eagle, always an eagle”. You will always be part of the SJPII family, and your presence here with us was surely a gift. Thank you.
We have been busy monitoring enrollment, hiring, and placing our amazing current staff. We will stay in touch with developments over the summer, and we encourage you to do the same. God bless!
